This province has the world known white sand beach of Boracay island. However, it was closed off for over 6 months to allow natural healing of the surroundings. It was coupled with major rehabilitation and access improvements. This is to solve bottlenecks and congestion. Win-win!

Snorkelling is also popular here. If you’re into diving, you can head down to Batabat Coral Reef.

Also, you can go to the Pina Village. Watch the locals weaving plant fibers into clothing materials.

Great experience comes with being able to mingle with fellow visitors. But more importantly, the locals themselves. Aklanons, like any Filipinos in general, are friendly people.
