Understanding the province is a good way to find where to stay in Cagayan. Tuguegarao City is its provincial capital. It has 28 municipalities. And also includes the Babuyan Group of Islands.

For the religious devotees, Iguig Calvary Hills is well-known for its life-size statues. It’s a destination during the Holy Week for the 14 Stations of the Cross. But who’s stopping you from visiting at other times?

There’s also the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, Tuguegarao City. And then, there’s Callao Cave, a seven chambered cave. They conduct a Catholic mass in one of the chambers. Incidentally, this is where the remains of the oldest man in the Philippines was discovered.
